However, when the ex-minister got wind of the tip, he summoned the staffers to his office and subjected them to tortuous interrogations in the presence of his armed mobile policemen. He also demanded that all the tips given to the staffers must be returned to him.
Not done with punishing the victims, the Ex-Minister on Thursday, the 17th of September, 2020 again forcibly took the victims to the Hotel warehouse and later to his office in the presence and active assistance of the armed mobile policemen and at gunpoint ordered the victims to pull off their clothes.

The Ex-Minister also at gunpoint, forcibly collected the victims ATM cards and used the Hotel’s Point On Sale (POS) device to transfer all the monies in their bank accounts.

The Policemen came and arrested the victims, without any complaint first being made by anybody to the Police.
The Victims were detained for 4 days at the Ebrumede Police Station and were eventually arraigned in court on charges of stealing some money.
