The letter reads “The leadership and members of LAWYERS FOR WELFARE ADVOCACY congratulates you on your well-deserved victory as the President-Elect of the Nigerian Bar Association in the just concluded polls.
“Indeed, you ran a tough, good, and clean campaign against formidable opponents. This victory therefore clearly acknowledges your doggedness and sagacity to the legal community as well as the distinct trust reposed in you by a greater percentage of Nigerian lawyers.
“Be reminded sir, that against all the odds, senior and junior lawyers, SANs and non-silks alike voted for you in their numbers. We urge you therefore not to lose sight of the prize; good leadership delivery for all. We encourage you Mr. President-Elect to immediately hit the ground running upon taking your oath of office for every second lost cannot be regained.
“At this juncture, we must commend the various contestants who fought gallantly too. We expect you to run a government of inclusivity and we urge you to immediately extend the olive branch to them.
“Be assured sir of our confidence in you and support to help you achieve your set targets for our noble association. Premised on this, we hereby pledge our availability and technical support to your government and we look forward to your recording giant developmental strides even as you work assiduously to steer the ship of the NBA in the next two years.
“As we all come together to work towards achieving the bar of our dreams, accept please the assurances of our highest regards.”
