Ihedioha’s Sack: Unimaginable Things Happen In Nigeria- Ikokwu
Chief Guy Ikokwu, lawyer and member of inner cactus of pan Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo, while reacting to the sack on Tuesday of governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State by the Supreme Court, has said that unimaginable things has been happening in the country.
Ikokwu told Daily Independent on Tuesday that nothing should surprise anybody any more in the country, maintaining that Imo State being the heart of South-East, they knew that any evil perpetuated there could mean much. He said that the civil war ended in Imo, stressing that those of them who fought the war would understand better.
The Ohaneze chieftain maintained that people should understand that anything could happen in Nigeria, pointing out that he was not surprised with the judgement of the Supreme Court, stating that people should stop getting surprised, and no longer ask questions.
“Uche Nwosu withdraw his Appeal and nobody can explain how Supreme Court arrived at its judgement. Some said the prophesy of Rev. Father Mbaka the Senator Uxodinmma would emerge as governor, came to pass, just like he did for Buhari. Nothing should surprise anyone in this country. We had anniversary of 50 years of civil war in Lagos and Abuja and we agreed there would be no more war in this country.
“It is very clear with the way things are going that insecurity could be inevitable, and we know that without security, there would be no peace, and without peace, there would be no progress, and without progress there would be comatose.
“The Yoruba and Igbo are embracing each other, and so we agreed that never again, will there be war. The South-South, Middle Belt have also spoken but we don’t know if the whole country is saying, never again” he said.
