The Justice Reform Project (JRP) has congratulated Mrs. Joyce Oduah, FICMC on her successful emergence as the General Secretary of the NBA at the just concluded NBA Elections for National Officers.

In a congratulatory letter jointly signed by Olufunke Adekoya, SAN (Chairman, Governing Board) and Charles Adeyemi Candide-Johnson, SAN (Convener, Justice Reform Project), the Learned Silks stated that while they note the enormity of the task before Joyce and the incoming Executive Committee, they trust in her representations to the Bar that she will, through her office, deliver on the objectives of the Nigerian Bar Association. They also expressed confidence in her capacity to progressively reform the profession.

The Learned Silks stated further that they have carefully reviewed Mrs Oduah’s manifesto and are pleased to note that her mission includes initiatives to advance the welfare of lawyers, promote continuing legal education and provide adequate support to the legal practitioners’ disciplinary process.

On this basis, they offered JRP’s resources and support to Mrs Oduah in furtherance of her mandate, and also wished her a successful and impactful tenure as the NBA General Secretary.
