Former Vice President and PDP Presidential candidate in the 2019 Presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Waziri Adamawa, has dragged the social media assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari to FCT High Court for a defamatory comment published on her social media pages on twitter and facebook.

The Presidential Assistant had claimed via a defamatory article published on her twitter handle and facebook page, that Alhaji Atiku was on the UAE watch list, as a wanted man, asking, “shopping for terrorists?”

Alhaji Atiku today went with his team of lawyers led by Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, OFR, to the central Registry of the FCT, High Court, Maitama, Abuja, to physically sign his witness deposition (on Oath) before the Commissioner for Oaths as required by court rules.

The Waziri is claiming amongst others, the sum of #2.5 billion only, from the Presidential Assistant on Social Media, as general, aggravated, punitive and exemplary damages against her
