Yoruba Youths Demands Immediate Reinstatement of 35 Aides to Vice President Osinbajo, claims FG has No Moral Justification

Yoruba Youths on Sunday called for the Immediate Reinstatement of the 35 AIDES to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo unjustly sacked by the Federal Government.

In a statement signed by the President, Aare Oladotun Hassan and made available to BarristerNG, the group termed the attacks as “unwarranted political attrition and hydra-headed” and called on all Yorubas’ to stand with the Vice President.

The statement reads in part: “Rising from the highest decision making organ of the apex youth organization in Yoruba Land: Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide(YCYW): National Coordinating Council resolved at her meeting held on Sunday 1st December, 2019 at Ascot Hotel in Ibadan, Oyo State, on the fundamental demands:

“The immediate reinstatement of the 35 Aides to the Office of the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo sacked by the FG.

“We vehemently frown at the recent sacking of the 35 Aids by the Presidency, culminating from the varying vilified degrees of unwarranted political attrition and hydra-headed negative attacks targeted at the person of Professor Yemi Osinbajo and his Office as the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, while calling on all Yorubas to stand with the VP.

“We equally condemn in its entirety the reasons given by Mr Garuba Shehu SSA to the President on Media that ‘the Federal government was fighting to reduce tax payers costs of servicing the office of the Vice President, necessitated the sack of 35 out of 80 Aides’ this was corroborated by President Muhammadu Buhari upon arrival at the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja that ‘The Presidency is undergoing reordering’.

“Considering the veracity and future implication of this treacherous and disappointing act against the Yorubas, who played major pivotal roles to the success of the current Muhammadu Buhari led administration, particularly Professor Yemi Osinbajo, who is the egg head poster boy and face of the government, who toiled tenaciously viz: Trademoni Program launching across the country not forgetting the fatal helicopter crash in the bid towards ensuring the campaign and eventually winning the second term bid, whom we gave supports as a results of his succinct track record of integrity and landmark achievements.

“Also, we condemn the use and dump approach of the Northern elites, considering the accelerated manner without prior notice to the VP on the sack of his 35 official aids, who was caught unaware of the coup de sac and embarrassed by the media outrageous information, firstly perceived as a shared rumoured mere political statement, this was hurriedly dispelled by his media aid: Mr Laolu Akande.

“We are aware the sacked Aides were carefully selected and appointed by the VP, most of whom are part of the success story of the office of the Vice President, based on their high quality intelligence, cerebral intellectual capacity, capabilities and innovative hardworking spirit in managing the daily regour of their duties diligently, all were unexpectedly relieved and embarrassed by DSS collecting the access ID Card at the entrance gate of the Presidential Villa, most insulting to this Youths who were committed to the service of their fatherland.

“We see this as a premeditated orchestrated attack on the vice president rather on the sacked Aids by some disgruntled elements reportedly in the Presidency, all in the bid to reduce Professor Osinbajo’s growing untainted records of integrity.”
