Below is her full message shared with BarristerNG.com

Dear Colleagues,

Monday 10th June 2019, the premier branch meets at its regular monthly general meeting like other Branches of NBA. This meeting being auspicious because Mr Usoro  SAN and his Midwest counterpart Mr Alegeh SAN (both relatively new to NBA – imagine neophytes being desperate about planting a pseudo- dynasty in NBA)  these relatively new people in NBA are working to ‘enthrone’ Mr Akpata (EDO State) in 2020. 1st Usoro’s sudden appointment of co-Chair TCCP and he also indicated that he is working towards 2020.

Hosting NBA Lagos Branch is always a delight and open to everyone who is disposed to hosting.

NBA PRESIDENCY 2020 IS ZONED TO ENTIRE WEST – Midwest and South West having been recognized in NBA Constitution 2015 as one region, West,  and whose turn it is to produce the next NBA President 2020, we have a number of presidential prospects from both MWest and SWest viz:

Albert Akpomudje SAN – Midwest
Ken Mozia SAN – Midwest
Dafe Akpedeye SAN – Midwest
Erhabor ESQ – Midwest/South West

Funke Adekoya SAN – South West
Femi Falana SAN – South West
Dele Adesina SAN – South West
Akinboro SAN – South West/Abuja

Of all Eight names, Olu Akpata Esq the 9th name is from Edo. So also Erhabor ESQ who threw his hat into NBA Presidential ring in 2014, at the time some of the names mentioned above had contested and lost to Alegeh SAN (ED0 State) 2014-2016

2020 please not the turn of Edo State to give us another NBA President ‘you hear’.  And even if EDO must produce the next NBA President, Akpata should queue behind Erhabor ESQ.

This excessive greed, from NBA SBL Chair to TCCP co-Chair to move your  NBA Presidential ambition up, Mr Akpata is not the only Lawyer in Nigeria with ambition.

Added to Akpata’s 13th century mentality that  ” there are no ladies at the Bar”. And he actually as SBL Chair called a stone age conference to pronounce upon it that women are not to be recognized as women in NBA Despite that since 2001, in a Constitutional amendment initiated by my humble self and supported by Mentor and Model Prof Jade Akande of Blessed memory, our NBA Constitution was amended to permit masculine and feminine epithets. This position has been sustained even in NBA Constitution 2015 yet Mr Akpata seeks unlawful battle of de-recognition.

Taking us several centuries back, Akpata unacceptable!

Take steps ALL so that NBA Premier may not mistakenly endorse one presidential prospect above all NBA presidential prospects when Akpata is the least qualified of all presidential hopefuls.

Yours sincerely,
Carol Ajie ESQ(Ms)
The Dame of the Nigerian Bar
