A staff at BudgIT Nigeria, Moses Motoni, who was arrested on Tuesday, by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, has been granted bail.
Motoni was allegedly arrested by SARS operatives over offences relating to BudgIT’s activities in Niger state.
But on the contrary,DAILY POST confirmed from the Force PPRO, Jimoh Moshood via a telephone conversation that Motoni was held for inciting of public disturbance but has been released and was his way back to his base.
He said, “ We just left the station where he was detained and he has been granted bail. He is already on his way as we speak.”
A post on the Force Facebook page also denied that Motoni was arrested by SARS. It said, “Mr. Moses Motoni was not arrested by SARS Operatives but by a Police Team on the case of Inciting Public Disturbance reported against him which occurred on the 1st and 2nd of December, 2017 at Gbako, Tandzun and Bida Villages on Federal Constituency Project.
“The matter is under investigation as Mr. Moses is been released on bail. The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP JIMOH MOSHOOD visited him.
“Subsequently, Moses has been asked to reach out to his office and relative to come take him on bail.”
