Onnoghen: Lawyers Boycott Courts in Ota
TOTAL BOYCOTT OF COURTS BY THE NBA OTA BRANCH IN COMPLIANCE TO THE DIRECTIVE ARISING FROM NEC MEETING HELD ON THE 28th DAY OF JANUARY 2019
The Officers of the N.B.A. Ota Branch under the Leadership of its Chairman, Isaac Omuta Ogbah Esq., achieved 100 percent Compliance, on day one of the NBA NEC Ordered Court Boycott, on Tuesday the 29th of January, 2019.
As early as 7.30am this Morning, the 29th day of January, 2019, the Executive Members and other Seniors led by the Branch Vice Chairman, Ismail Akinfenwa, Esq., were already at the Chief Magistrate Court, Ota and High Court, Ota. As well as Chief Magistrate Court, Ifo and Ado Odo ably represented by our Elder, J. T. Ogunniyi, Esq & the Assistant Secretary, Funmilola Williams, Esq and Marufu Ajibade, Esq respectively for the Boycott.
All members of the Executive Committee — The Branch Secretary, O. A. Pius, Esq; the Financial Secretary, A. A. Adekunle, Esq; the Publicity Secretary, Love Ibem, Esq; the Welfare Secretary, Toyin Ndidi Ojo, Esq; the Treasurer, Ruth Itua, Esq AND other members including– Gloria Agbambu, Esq, S. Kehinde Abdulrasheed, Esq.; and Ebere Obiora, Esq at Agbara Magisterial District ensured maximum compliance of the Boycott at all the Courts within the Ota Judicial Division.
We also appreciate the support and cooperation of the Admin Judge, Hon. Justice O. O. Majekodunmi and other brother Justices & the Admin Chief Magistrate, His Worship, M. A. Akinyemi CM II as well as other Magistrates within the Ota Magisterial District.
We also appreciate Akinola Sanni Esq Our legal Adviser’ and J. T Oguniyi Esq who were on Hebron FM live on behalf of the BAR.
Please Note that the the Boycott continues tomorrow and we enjoined all members of Ota Bar to support this crusade at ensuring the Promotion of the Rule of Law and the Defence of the Judiciary and the Legal Profession.
