NBA set to Redeem Kia Car won by Member at AGC 2018 Lottery, Nine Months After
The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA has taken delivery of a Kia Car won by one of its member Aliyu Rabiu Esq during the Association’s Annual General Conference, AGC 2018 in Abuja.
The Car will be presented to the winner at the Association’s National Executive Committee meeting scheduled later this month, 9 months after the winner was announced.
According to a statement by Habbeb Lawal Esq, the Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Association, The Immediate Administration led by AB Mahmoud SAN paid only half price of the car even though the lottery was for the full price of the car.
The failure of the NBA to deliver the car became controversial and a topic of discussion at the last NEC meeting of the Association where members mandated the president, Paul Usoro SAN, to redeem the lottery price immediately.
Mr Lawal noted that the balance paid for the car is another debt incurred by the administration of Mahmoud SAN. The Mahmoud Administration was earlier accused of incurring 600 million Naira debt for the Association.
The Car was delivered by DANA Motors at the headquarters of the Association in Abuja.
