NBA Presidential election is a marathon not a race, endorsement will have no effect on outcome – Ex Young Lawyer’s President, Paul Daudu
As the election into the national offices of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, draws near, a former president of young lawyers forum in Nigeria Paul Daudu Esq, has reacted to the recent endorsement of one of the candidates, Chief Arthur Obi Okafor, by the Eastern Bar Forum.
In a message shared on social media, Mr Daudu wondered what the controversy over endorsement by EBF was all about. According to him, endorsement has been happening since he can remember.
Mr Daudu further said that in a era of universal suffrage, endorsement will have no effect on the envetual outcome of the election.
Below is Mr Daudu’s message
I am sorry but what is the big deal about EBF endorsement ? My WhatsApp message box is full with so many messages …It has been happening since I could remember .I think in my honest view that the hard work really starts now . There is no longer delegate voting . It is one man one vote . This election will test the effectiveness of Forum adoptions particularly from the region producing the NBA Presidency . I think in my view …it has no effect on the eventual outcome . I encourage supporters from all groups who are all my friends to save their gun powder ..it will soon be needed . This is a marathon not a race .
