Lagos-Based Lawyer, Ayo Ademiluyi cries out over Client’s Abduction By IGP’IRS
Lagos-based human rights lawyer , Ayo Ademiluyi(Juryman Associate Chambers) has cried out over the abduction of his client, Mr. Ayo Adekanla on Monday, 29th July, 2019 by the Investigative Response Squad of the Inspector General of Police.
In a statement released by Mr. Ayo Ademiluyi, his client who was on his way to Asaba from Benin was arrested at gunpoint by plainclothes men in Warri. He was refused access to his phone and access to call his lawyer.
According to the statement, the abductors of his client did not disclose where he was being taken to . The abductors with their brazen speed on the Benin-Ore Expressway had an accident at Okada town.
It took wisdom on the part of his client to pass a note to passerby at the scene of the accident indicating that he was picked by men who claimed they are from Investigative Response Squad of the Inspector General of Police.
The statement further stated that the whereabouts of his client, Mr. Ayo Adekanla is unknown. ” I call on the Inspector General of Police, Muhammadu Adamu to make known the whereabouts of Mr. Ayo Adekanla within 48 hours otherwise the blood of my client is on the hands of the Inspector General of Police, whatever happens to him”, the statement said.
