DEATH OF MUHAMMAD KABIR DANLADI IN THE HANDS OF SARS OPERATIVES: A DEMAND FOR JUSTICE
It is with heavy heart that we write this letter calling on your office to swiftly cause a discreet investigation to be carried out against the activities of SARS officers within your command. This is in view of the recent loss of life of a young man; MR MUHAMMAD KABIR DANLADI in your command and 9n the hands of SARS operatives
Report reaching us revealed that the said deceased was tortured by your men on the instructions of his boss who sent him on an errand and the deceased couldn’t meet up with the instructions due to factors that was not caused by him. The allegation against the deceased would have been conveniently investigated and the truth unraveled without plunging the deceased into torture and inhuman treatment.
Regrettably, your officers threw caution into the wind and desecrated the threshold that police all over the globe value and guard jealously; that is professionalism and respect for human right.
No doubt, the loss of MR. MUHAMMAD KABIR DANLADI has brought to fore another ugly record of police brutality against fellow citizens. This is unacceptable to us as promoters of rule of law in the nation.
We therefore call on you to act immediately by bringing to book all those responsible for this dastardly and inhuman act. This one case on inhumanity to man anf our branch is resolute in ensuring that justice is done in the case.
We are ready to follow this case to the end and ensure that such ugly incident does not repeat itself in our jurisdiction.
