“Rest in Peace Majority Leader, Austin Inya. A man of the people. May God grant you eternal rest.”

– Ezenwa Anumnu

With the passing of Austin Inya, the Unity Bar lost a very forthright, consistent and dignified lawyer of great conviction. From being called Minority Leader, he was called Majority Leader. What he was called never affected his ability to speak truth power or to insist on speaking his mind no matter how unpopular it may appear. He was a rare gem. He was a man of all times. Majority Leader, was never afraid of standing alone or being scoffed at. What mattered to him was voicing out his conviction. He was a man of truth. He disagreed with people without malice or guile. He was not one to paper over cracks. His death has robbed the branch of a special one. We shall sorely miss him. Good night Majority Leader. May you find eternal rest in the bosom of Almighty God.”
